February 2022 Newsletter

February 2022 Newsletter

Ooh, it’s almost February – it’s summer and it’s hot! One of my favorite months of the year. It’s the month my daughter was born and we get to celebrate her birth – which was very complicated and life-threatening for both of us and with every passing year, I am more and more grateful that we made it through, although some days she makes me want to pull out all the hairs in my head! But that’s love right!

The other topic of this month – the month of LOVE with Valentine’s Day to look forward to.

Everyone knows the biblical explanation of love:

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Who do you love the most?

Think about the person you love the most… or even the top 5!

Many of us wouldn’t say ourselves.  We are more inclined to list family members or friends.  What about you!

But as I’ve written in many newsletters – love starts with yourself!

I must admit, cultivating self-worth will be a lifelong journey for most of us. It is likely that many times over, life will knock our confidence and we will be required to dig deep once again into ourselves and uncover our worthiness. Being aware of how we can support ourselves empowers us to take actions that will move us forward on the path to greater self-worth.

“You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection.” ~Buddha

You are enough

Self-worth comes from knowing that you are enough, just as you are. You are inherently worthy, and you don’t need anyone else’s approval.

We all have times when we get caught up in routines and behaviors that don’t support us, yet we have the ability to make changes in our lives. We are never powerless. Once we understand where we might be hurting ourselves, it becomes much easier to know how to step up and support ourselves.

Here are some tips I use:

1. Stop focusing on what is wrong with you and consciously focus on what is right with you.
2. Stop accepting less than you deserve and teach people how to treat you.
3. Stop putting yourself at the bottom of your to-do list and recognize that self-care is an essential part of supporting yourself.

By consistently showing yourself this level of respect, you can pull yourself out of the cycle of exhaustion and begin to build self-worth. We each have different things that fill us up and make us feel alive and healthy inside, you owe it to yourself to discover these things and make time for them in your life.

We are running a Couple’s promotion for R1800 this month. It includes a 45min back, neck, and shoulder massage, 30min scalp or foot massage and light lunch. This promotion can also be booked individually to spoil yourself at R900 per person.

The individual promotion will be available to purchase as a gift voucher on our website until the 14th of February 2022 and is valid for 6 months from the date of purchase. T&C applies. Click here to buy one now!

I hope you take the time in this month of love not only to spoil the ones you love but also to show some love to yourself.

Love, Tania
